CIA: One year I was Kirsten from the American Girl series and I thought it was SO CLEVER AND COOL that I'd dressed as a book character but I had to explain my costume to literally everyone. #GrantChat

A1: I don't know of a ton of resources on grantwriting ethics, other than the Grant Professionals Association code of ethics. Does my personal "don't make it weird" code count? #GrantChat

A2: GrantChat is definitely a great resource for advice when you have questions about ethics, or anything else. Since the chats get archived you can go back and look for ethics topics. #GrantChat

A3: Honestly this isn't something that comes up often enough for us to have made a policy about it yet. Like I imagine if some weird anti-disability person or org tried to make a donation we'd be like "uh no thanks" but we don't actually get major gifts that often. #GrantChat

A4. Push back gently. Maybe the ED knows something I don't, as she is a Wizard Level Networker. But--she also hired me to do this kind of research; it's part of my job description. I'd rather put my time and energy into something that I know we're eligible for. #GrantChat

A5. If the funder's mission matches with ours, and there's not an obvious conflict of interest (like I don't serve on the Board or anything) I don't see why not. Networking and leaning on those relationships is so important and powerful in our sector. #GrantChat

A9. Oh dang, this one's tricky and I don't actually know the "right" answer. Most of our funders have been really flexible and if we can show how these other expenses are accomplishing the purpose/goal of the grant, it's been allowed. #GrantChat

I've been asked to write a short bio as part of a committee I'm serving on and I don't know where to start, especially as a early-mid career professional. Anyone have tips about what I should include?
