Good to see this APPG set up. I guess that by "social and economic benefits" they mean lower, more socially inclusive ticket prices. Can't argue with that. Especially if it can be done in a way that simultaneously allows the clubs to increase overall revenue.

john hailwood They're keen, yes. It's a concept that's proven in Germany for 20+ years. It's been included in our safety guidelines since 2018. It's no longer prohibited by any outdated GB law. It would enable clubs to cut tickets prices while increasing revenue. What's not to like about it?

On September 14th, the Safe Standing APPG was set up to raise awareness amongst parliamentarians and wider decision makers about #SafeStanding at football stadiums in England and Wales. CalComms acts as the group secretariat for the upcoming year.

Pleased to announce that we hosted another APPG meeting with our Chair Mark Eastwood in #Westminster today, which included special guest Martyn Henderson from the Sports Grounds Safety Authority. The APPG is resolutely committed to working with the SGSA to deliver #safestanding up and down the UK.

The APPG is thrilled to see Karl McCartney talking up #safestanding with Liam Scully from Lincoln City FC 🇺🇦. We are also encouraged to see how the club progresses with its trialling of safe standing at the Sincil Bank Stadium, paving the way for exciting new opportunities for fans!
