SADO Somalia was a leading partner in organizing the world hand washing day event held on the 15 October 2022 in Istanbul village Kismayo district. The event was used to promote hand washing in istanbul village which is one of the worst affected by the recent outbreak of AWD.

I went live on Al-Jazeera to discuss Somalia's drought, emphasising that famine conditions already exist in displaced camps. We don't need to wait for the declaration; what needs to happen is humanitarian funding going straight to local communities affected.

The ongoing football tournament organized by SADO Somalia has allowed for different parts of the society including IDPs, Returnees and host communities to build social cohesion despite the massive impact of the drought in Belethawa and Dollow @NCAsomalia SNTV News
