Why don’t all these TV journalists, so desperately keen to cover the war, go to the borders, to Poonch, where many accounts suggest there’s been a bloodbath?

War spares none, regardless of faith. It is a brutal, disproportionate evil that innocent lives bear the brunt of. Let’s strive for peace, not catastrophe.

Great news about the ceasefire. It had to happen—consequences would’ve gone far beyond borders. Despite the military imbalance, both are nuclear powers, and that ends the argument. For the benefit of the mankind, these countries have to be at peace. #ceasefire

To prevent things from getting worse, this #ceasefire is essential to avoid catastrophe between nations with nuclear power. While it’s not too late, the impact on victims is heart wrenching; the damage is done and innocent lives are forever changed. We feel for their struggles.

This idea of a ‘Peaceful Kashmir’ feels utopian. Let’s strive towards making life manageable. That’s all we’ve been capable of.
