Are you standing with your local midwives at 2pm this Sunday? Why not attend your local UK vigil, meet like-minded people, learn more, celebrate a little, and show the country that we need our maternity services to be the best they can be! #marchwithmidwives

I just signed the petition calling on Boris Johnson to guarantee lateral flow tests remain freely available. Will you add your name? 38d.gs/keep-lat-flows…

Thank you to ⁦@Siobhan_Baillie for not only raising several vital points regarding the midwifery workforce in last night’s debate but also discussing the disparity in maternal mortality rates between women from Black and Asian ethnic groups and White women ⁦MBRRACE UK.

It was such a privilege to have been on the panel for Birthrights National Inquiry into Racial Injustice in Maternity Care and it was great to finally be in the same room as so many amazingly passionate women all working to improve maternal outcomes.

They didn’t resign over Covid deaths. They didn’t resign over benefit cuts. They didn’t resign over Partygate. They didn’t resign over PPE. They didn’t resign over Brexit failure. They didn’t resign over deporting refugees. Spare us the praise for the ā€˜good’ Tories.

Really moving that Diana was motivated by the racial injustice inquiry to run a 10k and a 5k *while pregnant* to raise funds for our work Birthrights. Please donate if you can to spur her on šŸƒšŸ¾ā€ā™€ļøāļø bit.ly/3yr97jt #HumanRights #RacialJustice #MaternityCare

I make no apologies for reposting this picture of Billie Piper every time I see it because it’s worth it, and because Laurence Fox gets really upset by it. RT if you like it too.

If you believe a group of workers shouldn't take strike action because they are vital to the running of the country then, by that same logic, you should support them when they demand better than real-terms pay cuts so they don't have to resort to strike action in the first place.
