Justification is Christ’s imputed righteousness to the sinner while sanctification is infused grace in the sinner. The former logically precedes the latter, and is perfect and complete in this life. The latter is imperfect and incomplete in this life.

Is the gospel a new law to be obeyed for justification?

Is faith an empty hand outstretched to God with nothing to offer and everything to receive?

Faith is not only a necessary condition, it is also a *sufficient* condition of justification.

Through faith, a man is declared righteous before God prior to righteousness inhering in him.
