There are times when fans (from any program) want more flags than are perhaps warranted This is not one of those days. Just some brutal officiating today. That missed pass interference was comical.

If Bama loses by double digits…I don’t think it’s crazy to leave them out of the playoff. FSU loss is terrible. They’re in SEC Champ Game due to 4-way tiebreaker. It’s not punishing them for making the Champ Game. It’s reevaluating where they actually belong.

This is the worst selection committee we've ever had. Cannot believe Alabama didn't even drop one spot after the SEC title game blowout. Cannot believe they waited until the final reveal to flip Miami-ND. Could have done it at ANY point.

So, BYU was penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game (dropped one spot). Which allowed Miami to move up and get compared directly to Notre Dame. But Alabama was not penalized for getting blown out in its conference championship game.

I’m old enough to remember the argument for Alabama over FSU in 2023 being about FSU limping to the finish line (while winning) and wanting to pick teams that were the “best” now. But a blowout loss yesterday apparently didn’t matter.
