While en route to Santa Barbara for a wedding with fam, new SF DA Brooke Jenkins called and fired me on spot. Odd choice to fire a non-management felony prosecutor in the courtrooms every day that never lost a case (~40 preliminary hearings and grand jury indictment). Thread 🧵

I worked hard on behalf of the people of San Francisco, fought for victims and had them testify as my witnesses, and established meaningful relationships with members of SFPD and the sheriff's office.

I've been vocal about the need to maintain these juvenile justice reforms. Brooke Jenkins fired me because I care about kids. I don't want to see them charged as adults. They deserve rehabilitation. What's happening is scary. More thoughts to come later...
