Premiered #OTD in 1958, the Ninth Symphony by English composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams. Composed during 1956 and 1957, it was premiered in London's Royal Festival Hall by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent. open.spotify.com/track/1PfWb7cI… #britsymphyear
