The New York State Police has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred near Moreau Lake State Park, Loop A, Site 18, in Gansevoort, NY at about 6:45 PM on 9/30/2023.

The CHILD,

FEMA, partnering with the FCC, will conduct a national test of the Emergency Alert System and Wireless Emergency Alert at 2:20 PM Eastern Time on October 4, 2023. The EAS test will last about 1 minute and will confirm the ability of the system to deliver a national EAS message.

The West Warwick Police are warning about an organized group from Romania (via Texas) who have been aggressively panhandling throughout Rhode Island.

The group uses photos of a sick child and indicate that they are collecting money via Cash App for treatment.

This is a scam.
