We can afford to address homelessness. We can't afford to ignore homelessness.

Imagine we worked on finding solutions for homelessness and poverty, as fast as we come up with solutions to police people experiencing them. This is shameful, Toronto.

It's so sad to see Homeless People being criminalized for living OUTSIDE, here City of Toronto 🇨🇦. We urge you to do better and come up with humane solutions John Tory . Until then, STOP encampment evictions.

Homeless people have a right to public spaces.

Policing those experiencing homelessness will NEVER end homelessness.

I am sitting on my bed in the shelter hotel, crying & watching this unfold. In the 16 months since losing my apartment, living in the park was the least traumatic, the most healing where I was connected to people & the Earth. They are killing us. We are allowing it to happen.

Dozens of police, mounted units, bike units, other City staff, private security, fences, drones, helicopter... I hope somebody FOIs the cost of this operation, and works out how long people could have been properly housed for that amount.
