Night 7 (Sendai) Food: curry rice with pork. Oyster and pork croquettes with salad (and spaghetti??). Video games arcade.

Day 8: Sendai to Kamakura. Food: traditional Japanese breakfast, posh curry rice, ice cream in dog cafe, traditional sweets (made by an old Japanese man who I hope I didn't confuse too much with my dodgy Japanese) Photos of non-food incoming later

Night 8 (Kamakura) Food: chilli cheese burger with fries. I left dinner a bit too late and not many restaurants were open. Then later I discovered some mini festival with good looking for and cheap beer, but I was already stuffed with burger!

Night 8 (Kamakura) Food: okonomiyaki (Hiroshima style) at small local festival with dancing and music. Plus a trip up the sky candle for sunset

Day 10 (Kamakura to Kyoto) Food: tonkatsu train Bento, kaiten/conveyor belt sushi

Night 10, Kyoto. Food: wagyu beef ramen, pork belly ramen, strawberry soda

Night 11 (Kyoto) Full moon, drinks by the river

Day 12 (Kyoto) Food: expensive Kobe beef (grade 5 beef w veg, a savoury egg custard, and smoked beef with mustard sauce). Then a regular sized meal (omurice with European curry and cheese) as we were still really hungry after our expensive lunch. Visited the golden temple.

Night 12 (Kyoto) Food: barbecued mushrooms with ponzu, edamame, chicken sticks, cabbage with weird sauce. Visit to a temple that's lit up at night.
