.New York Road Runners announces that everyone planning to participate in any of their 2022 races will be required to show proof of COVID-19 full vaccination to run. Last month, the BAA said all participants must be fully vaccinated to run in the 2022 Boston Marathon. NYC follows suit.

🎙 It was a strange yet epic year for track and field. Just wanted to thank you for sticking w/ us & supporting our shows through it all. We’re already brainstorming ideas and concocting plans to elevate our coverage and bring you even more creative content in 2022.

NYRR just announced the 2022 edition of the NYC Marathon on Nov. 6 will return at full capacity with 50,000 runners. Last year’s race had 25,010 finishers. This year’s marathon will require all runners participating to be fully vaccinated. The lottery opens on March 9.

Waiting for the NYC Marathon Lottery is a lot like Christmas Eve—except you have to pay for your present, and there is a chance you’ll get nothing, and if you do pay for your present it’ll involve some level of pain.
