College changed my life in so many ways If you only want the highest return on investment, there's probably better options (unless you get great scholarships) Let's stop acting like college is only for high paying jobs Most people I knew weren't there for that

I wish I could just work two remote jobs and make $200k It's not possible in my industry, but seems like such a hack Hopefully YouTube and side hustles make up for it a little bit... But i don't think those will pay $100k per year any time soon (probably never πŸ˜…)

Lmao yeah it's pretty easy to pick the winners after they already won πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… Also, huge difference in risk levels. Some stocks SHOULD beat the market, but they're more unstable If you think beating the market is easy, check how many people actually succeed Are you special?

"Buy what Buffet buys" "Don't buy the S&P 500, you can beat it" Literally the same person lmao 🀣 FinTwit is too much sometimes

Who even defines what is lean FIRE, normal FIRE, and fat FIRE? Just try to find your balance In general, I'd usually trade things for time I want fast FIRE

This isn't true You can check the data, but they usually move together Early in your career, it might not be difficult Not to say job hopping can't be really valuable But I wouldn't call this "the sad reality" It's just how math works lol

Expecting immediate returns Thinking 1k will turn into 1M Ignoring trading fees Thinking managers can beat the market Ignoring manager fees Not understanding the risk vs reward tradeoff And not understanding efficient market pricing Problem a few other things too πŸ˜…

You can either 1) make excuses OR 2) retire early I lived with roommates, don't own a car, eat rice and eggs, and work hard I could say it's "too hard" But I'd rather reach financial freedom

Sort your expenses into 4 quadrants Low cost, low benefit Low cost, high benefit High cost, low benefit High cost, high benefit If you're living paycheck to paycheck, you're spending too much Start with high cost low benefit things. I promise there's $1,000 to save

I buy everything I want to buy But, at least right now, that means spending $50,000 per year to buy my freedom Once I've finished purchasing that, we'll see
