surprise, he’s not dead

walking in, stealing bread from * FERAL MONGREL .ᐟ‍, walking out

a silent shake of the head. he doesn’t verbally respond, but he does turn to face his father. back against the counter, bread in hand. somewhat of a compromise.

he doesn’t move for a moment, eyes on the food as he considers. it does look good — he doesn’t need it or deserve it, but it looks good. after a moment, he sits down, eyes still scanning.

eyes shot up to his father’s eyes, holding his gaze for a moment before it fell again. the bread, still in hand, is raised to his lips, a small bite taken. it’s all he eats.

thumbs up. exactly how he feels.

it does. probably the only person he actually likes.
