This week, we started the journey at the AfDB in Ivory Coast to help spur economic development in Africa to reduce poverty on the Continent. We must all work together collectively as a private and public responsibility to develop Africa. Thank God.

Currently in the beautiful city of Dakar, Senegal at the African Development Bank (AfDB) ADF 3rd Replenishment meeting from September 15-17, 2022, for the 16th ADF Replenishment for the Bank. Africa can deliver more development with more funding to reduce poverty for wealth.

Was in the beautiful Moroccan cities of Rabat and Casablanca in late September 2022 on an Executive Directors Consultation Mission for the African Development Bank to assess the Bank’s remarkable portfolio of projects in the Country. Morocco is a pride of Africa. Great country.

The African Development Bank mobilized $8.9 billion on December 6, 2022, in Tangier, Morocco as ADF-16 Replenishment funding to finance transformative and impactful development in low-income countries in Africa. Thanks to the donor countries. afdb.org/en/news-and-ev…

Great honor meeting H.E. Nana Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana, during the Africa Investment Forum held in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire in November 2022 by the African Development Bank. Pres. Akufo-Addo champions the AIF. The Bank raised $31 Billion in investment interest for Africa.

Thanks to H.E. President Julius M. Bio of Sierra Leone for his leadership at the Dakar 2 Feed Africa Summit in Senegal from Jan 25-27, 2023 to foster food security and food sovereignty in African. Thanks to Pres. Macky Sall of Senegal and Pres. Adesina of AfDB for the Summit.

It was great meeting with Governor Sheku Bangura, the Honorable Finance Minister of Sierra Leone and other authorities during my mission to the Country the week of February 27. Great engagements on the African Development Bank's efforts to promote development in the Country

During my working mission trip to Ghana, I had the opportunity to celebrate the Country's 66th Independence Day on March 6, 2023, in Ho, the Volta Region. The event was remarkable in terms of its historical significance and the elegance of the culture of the Ghanaian people.

In Ghana, I met with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana to discuss the macroeconomic and development needs of the country relative to the African Development Bank. Great meeting.

From 20-24 March, 2023, I hosted 5 of my colleagues (Executive Directors (EDs)) of the African Development Bank in Liberia as part of the EDs Consultation Mission to the Country. The delegation was led by the Dean of the Board of Directors of the Bank, Mr. Ahmed Zayed of Egypt.

Met with the Vice President of Liberia, H.E Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor during our Executive Directors Consultation Mission in Liberia. Discussed areas of prioritization for transformative interventions from the African Development Bank to develop Africa, including Liberia.

Worshipped with the family today at the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, Africa, for the Easter Sunday. The Basilica is the largest and tallest church in the world. An impressive piece of architecture. The service was great. Glory be to our God.

Just back from Busan, South Korea for the KOAFEC Ministerial Conference co-sponsored by the African Development Bank. South Korea's astounding progress over 40 years in economy, society, and infrastructure is inspiring. Africa can do this with the right reforms & financing.

Dr. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank visits President Adama Barrow as part of a state visit to The Gambia from 1-4 October 2023. As Executive Director of the Bank responsible for The Gambia, I accompanied President Adesina on this trip. Great meetings!

Last week, seven Executive Directors of the African Development Bank concluded a mission in Sierra Leone to further support its growth and development. Gov. Sheku Bangura expressed gratitude to the EDs by dressing them up with traditional Sierra Leonean attire. Thanks to all.
