The U.S.' recent announcement to terminate its $2.6B commitment to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance could result in 75M children not getting vaccinated, resulting in over 1M deaths. In our interconnected world, a disease is just a flight away. More on this at Project HOPE: projecthope.org/news-stories/t…

The decision to restructure how the U.S. delivers humanitarian assistance will have consequential impacts for years to come. Great piece from Project HOPE's Jed Meline and Marcia Wong in Devex on the need for the Department of State to maintain humanitarian capacity post-USAID.

Not unlike the U.S., the Dominican Republic has been cracking down on Haitian migrants. In April alone, authorities deported ~900 pregnant or breastfeeding women, often separating them from their newborns. This will surely lead to more death & suffering. moretoherstory.com/stories/as-hai…

What’s happening with food aid in #Gaza is abhorrent & unconscionable. Project HOPE is seeing a sharp rise in malnutrition among children & pregnant women. The traditional aid mechanism was working—it must be reinstated. Unhindered humanitarian access is urgent.

Yesterday marked 6 months since wildfires devastated #LosAngeles. Project HOPE is still there & is focused on addressing the immediate & long-term mental health needs of impacted communities, particularly children & frontline workers. Learn more here: projecthope.org/news-stories/s…

Just 4 days after 10 children were killed outside Project HOPE's health clinic in #Gaza, 6 more children were killed while collecting water on Sunday. That's 16 children who died trying to access humanitarian aid in the span of days. Ceasefire now. cnn.com/2025/07/13/mid…

"Because of my low blood pressure I had to stop during a surgery on a girl who had been shot in the abdomen" - Health workers in #Gaza cannot treat patients because they are so malnourished. This cannot continue: theguardian.com/global-develop… via The Guardian

#Famine: Our worst nightmare, one we've warned about for months, is here. Project HOPE's #Gaza clinics are crowded with starving families, but food aid will come too late for those who are too malnourished, including children who will suffer lifelong health complications.

Every day, Ukrainian emergency health workers risk their lives to save others. Earlier this month, an ambulance Project HOPE supports was targeted. This has become a pattern - ~200 ambulances have been damaged or destroyed by Russian shelling attacks since 2022. #Ukraine

“We are hearing a lot of news that more aid will come, but...the situation on the ground has not changed since Sunday. The food supply has not reached the target population.” A powerful piece from The Guardian's Will Christou ft. Project HOPE in #Gaza: theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…
