Northwestern looks fine offensively, but it can't stop allowing open threes on the defensive side. 'Cats trail 28-19 at the under-8, and the Hoosiers have already drained four triples. Most recently, Conor Enright made one from the top of the key that was WIDE open.

After back to back threes from West and Kropp, Northwestern actually took a brief lead in this game. Indiana is now back in front 37-33 with 1:33 to play in the half. Jake West has been phenomenal. He's had active hands on defense. He's also got 14 points and two threes.

Jayden Reid misses a three at the buzzer and Northwestern enters the locker room down 37-36 to Indiana in the second round of the B1G tourney. Jake West is putting on a show with 14 points already. Martinelli has 9.

'Cats are up 45-41 at the under-16. West and Martinelli just keep chugging. Both are at 16 points for the game already.

Jake West just got rocked in the face on a fast-break drive to the hoop. He's ok -- Chris Collins is livid -- and the refs will huddle up to take a look at it.

Northwestern is up 64-49 after two Tre Singleton foul shots with about 8 minutes to play. The 'Cats are doing a great job breaking the press today. Indiana has applied it for a little bit now, and Northwestern isn't turning it over. Down the home stretch we go.

Northwestern beats Indiana, 74-61, and the ‘Cats live another today. They’ll play Purdue in the third round tomorrow.

Gavin does a nice job here summarizing the season. Much better than the major papers who don't cover the team regularly, yet provide uneducated critique. roundtable.io/sports/ncaa/no…

Wow, Tre Singleton is headed to the portal one season after becoming the highest-ranked recruit in Northwestern history. A shocker, for sure. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Purdue get involved. Singleton is from Jeffersonville, Indiana, & chose NU over Purdue out of high school.

This is impossible to sugar coat. Tre Singleton entering the transfer portal is among the worst possible things that could have happened to Northwestern this offseason. Collins is going to have to add a lot of talent in the portal.

Northwestern has excelled at retention the past few years, keeping Buie, Barnhizer and Martinelli when big teams came calling. Nance to UNC might be more high profile but in my opinion this is their biggest loss of the portal era

Now Page is heading out. He had an up-and-down season. Not nearly as surprising as the Singleton news, but Collins is going to have to hit the portal HARD.
