97.4% of buildings in NY have high-speed (100+ mbps) broadband avail. When you calibrate to actual residences (e.g. multidwelling buildings contain many residences or a farm may have many buildings but one residence), that figure will increase. Exciting! governor.ny.gov/news/governor-…

Alan notes that we are relying on states. But many states, like Maryland with Baltimore and Michigan with Detroit, pretend those cities don't exist. Those states are barely trying to help urban low-income broadband needs. Would be nice to be honest about real outcomes.
