Who the fuck is this inept joker with an agenda that keeps being shoved into my feed? I'll support the Prime Minister in transitioning away from fossil fuels. There you go, tally-ho.

The UK is heading for a serious economic downturn. In the past horticulture has done ok in these times because plants give great joy for little outlay but costs are soaring so it's going to be a fight for survival for many businesses.

What I and my small team do here is pretty basic. We get our heads down and graft. We just create the best product we can and get it out to retailers as efficiently as possible. It served us well in the past. Hopefully it will continue to do so.

Sajid Javid is a former Boris Johnson chancellor who worked for an investment bank at the time of the global financial crisis. If anyone were to draw up a list of the people who wrecked the UK economy, he'd feature on it.

Team I need urgent help. A few wks before Xmas our landlord has told us to leave the land we’ve been renting for almost 4 years now. Without land we cannot be flower farmers. We’re looking for land in or around County Durham NE England. About 1 acre. Pls RT

My latest in the @NatObserver: Everything IS actually broken, and as we descend into manufactured recession... It's time to take on the hoarding class: nationalobserver.com/2022/12/05/opi… 🧵

When interest rates are low, corporate profits go up. When interest rates are high, corporate profits go up. Growth or recession, corporate profits go up. Early pandemic, mid-pandemic, permanent pandemic, profits up. This is not just about money: it is driving polycrisis. 4/

In this great UNRISD report is a deep truth: "Today’s extreme inequalities, environmental destruction and vulnerability to crisis are not a flaw in the system, but a feature of it. Only large-scale systemic change can resolve this dire situation.” cdn.unrisd.org/assets/library… 5/

For even a decent shot at a healthy future for humans and other living beings, the Corporate-ocene must be brought to a swift... end.

Community gardening and good organisations are on the edge here. Just when we need to be multiplying. More local food supply, healthy communities, targeted climate adaptations and skill sharing. Crippled by the economic environment. Sigh. I'll do what I can to support.

oh look! it's literally a picture of ecofascism: men with guns keeping the regular people off the spaceship-ark, while a Titanic-like ship, representing Earth, sinks in the background. when monsters show you who they are, believe them.

We are currently using up 1.7 Earth’s worth of the raw materials for building “renewables” - and are on the way to using 3 by 2050. We will run out of materials before we ever get to an energy transition under current plans. We need less growth and less energy usage.

Earlier this year the government was found guilty of not meeting their legally binding net zero agreements. Yet my friends are in prison for demanding the government do what all experts advise to avert complete climate catastrophe: end all new fossil fuel licences.

Here's the results of the poll I launched yesterday about the future of peat use in the UK. The RHS . (PS I promoted it for £25 for get it out beyond my 'echo chamber' of followers) .

‘Like an oilwell in your back yard’: Irish people turn to cutting peat to save on energy bills. Social justice is climate justice. We can’t have one without the other…… theguardian.com/world/2022/dec…
