One of my favorite things about Tamora Pierce is how casually inclusive she makes her fantasy. Obviously, some gladiators are women, same-sex couples exist, people of color are sprinkled throughout, and this is all perfectly normal, because that's how she chose to imagine it.

The reason I'm still playing #PokemonGO a year and a half on is because that game never forces me to stop playing in an artificial manner meant to manipulate me into spending absurd amounts of money. I'll lose patience with #HogwartsMystery within the week.

#HogwartsMystery's energy usage is bad enough, but locking missions behind arbitrary timer walls (unless you pay!) is shitty game design. It's incumbent on a mobile game dev to find a balance between fun gameplay and income generation, and this game skews that balance badly.

Madame Hooch is my favorite #HogwartsMystery teacher because literally half of what she says is a sentence that ends with "...or you'll fall to your death."
