Today’s Gospel: Jesus healed a deaf man with a speech impediment by putting his finger into his ears and spitting, touched his tongue, and said, “Ephphatha!”-that is, “Be opened!” Immediately the man’s ears were opened, his speech impediment removed. All were astonished.
