Elementary students should not be taking standardized tests because testing becomes the focus of education instead of learning. We take away their creative genius and excitement of learning, playing, & creating. We develop test takers instead of problem solvers and innovators.

We are very fortunate to live in a country where access to education is reasonably available to most. In some parts of the world, children will risk their lives just to get to school.

Teachers' plates were already overloaded before the pandemic and the massive teacher shortage. Districts have to find ways to lessen the unrealistic expectations.
