Yesterday was our first day in our NEST classroom. We had so much fun exploring the new equipment. In science, we went outdoors to look at different types of plants. We found so many 🌻🪴

Today in Geography we looked at England and Wales. We ate Welsh Rarebit and Yorkshire Puddings. We looked at a map of the United Kingdom. We also enjoyed spending some time in Provision today, we used the role play area lots. 🙂Roundhay Year One Roundhay Year 2

Today we were looking at the Preposition "on". The children did very well with their listening skills and following instructions. In Art and Science we have been looking at Plants and trees. The children created their own plants using materials.

Seeing the children use the provision areas is magical! Hearing them use the key words from Science and Geography in provision blows me away 🥰. So proud of the little owls this week.

I'm curious, how tall are you? Today's activity included measuring our height and tracing our bodies. We were able to name so many different parts of our bodies. I am proud of you, little owls.

The biggest bubble contest. This afternoon, the children were ecstatic when they made bubbles. We were great at sharing and making sure everyone had their turn. #NEST #ZOR #turntaking #Roundhayschool

Our favorite book, The Hungry Caterpillar, was recreated by the children using props and they had a great time doing it. The caterpillar was fed the correct food in sequence with the story, which they remembered very well. #repeatedreads #roundhay #thenest
