Ian.K. NaturEconomist Under capitalism no meaningful agreement on nature loss is possible because the system's economic logic is BASED on the destruction of nature. Let's all stop kidding ourselves: continuing with capitalism is death to humankind and the natural world.

Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research PIK Johan Rockström Any organization that talks about a remaining carbon budget while the Earth burns is completely illegitimate. And one that sees 1.5C as a rational target is completely unscientific. See bit.ly/3ybivsQ, falsehood #3.

Kernow Drone This statement is clearly correct for humankind under capitalist rule. It may or may not apply to humankind under rational economic and social guidance.

.Science Based Targets initiative Given that your organization is based on emissions reductions and claims to be scientific, please read bit.ly/3ybivsQ. If you can rebut my claims, do so. If you can't, end the pretense.

Matthew Todd 🌏🔥 @iota_max They're tied to a growth-dependent system. They either surrender their wealth and power, or maximize their pleasures until the end. They've made it very clear that they've chosen the latter. We, the people, haven't yet caught on.

"The people, united, will never be defeated." BUT: The people, divided, cannot survive the ecological crisis. The capitalist ruling class has deeply divided us. I will soon propose some ideas for strategic unity, and hope that a productive discussion will ensue.

@Mara52041010 @ahausmannx MEER Extinction Rebellion Global Fridays For Future DeepGreenResistance I would rephrase: our "news" is propaganda for the capitalist class (a political entity) brought to us by corporations (economic entities). Until revolutionary change occurs, the media will continue be controlled by this class and its state.

What people must understand is that the ruling class has decided to continue with business as usual until the catastrophic end. If we want to save ourselves, we have to fight. This may entail violence. Hence my argument against the commitment to nonviolence.

"Based on ... their absolute right to survival, the young are fully justified in humanely doing whatever is necessary - including violence if this is strategically justified - to achieve the required social and environmental changes." - bit.ly/3EDOanm, p. 79

My proposed strategy (bit.ly/3EDOanm, chap. 6) could be wrong, but it's a serious attempt to find a way out of the current collapse. The concerned should be heatedly discussing this and other possibilities.
