How is the Milky Way shaking? In Simon Alinder's first paper we look at the 'phase spiral' (disturbance in the z-Vz plane) of the Milky Way as it changes across the disc. The animation shows how it changes across ~10 kpc in the outer disc (arxiv.org/abs/2303.18040)
