Fastest 5k since 2020 tonight at Lancaster. Proper race, great people and a quality field with plenty of packs to work with.

15 miles with Jen and Gill along the prom this morning dispelling the myth that I can’t run in the AM and don’t long run. It’s definitely coffee now.

Chillest Sunday for a while. Struck off some films from the watch list, went in hard with brunch, and a bit of NFL this evening. Don’t mind it.

27.50 for 5 miles tonight. Felt like myself, running wise, for the first time in a very long time. Considered quitting many times in the last 12 months but it would be wildly out of character. Consistency is the one and patience (the biggest challenge) the other.

Really glad I decided to race cross country yesterday over a road 10k today. First home for the team and a great day out as always (despite the unintentional dip in the mud).

World class training facility. Nothing like hitting a tempo round lodge lane whilst getting blasted in the face by some classic indecisive Fylde coast wind.

Channelling my inner Nims and training the mind to function and make good decisions whilst the body is being physically stressed.

My first ever 5k was over 30 minutes so a massive 5 mile PB, senior club record and 2nd in an Inter Club race doesn’t feel real. Had a very fun evening.
