A judge initially accepted that agreement, only to reverse course a week later. The legal system has failed Marcellus Williams over and over again. It’s unconscionable for Missouri to move forward with this execution in the face of such grave doubts.

Missouri AG Andrew Bailey is leading the charge toward the precipice of possibly executing an innocent man. Bailey has time and time again opposed every effort to exonerate innocent people, no matter how clear the evidence.

Bailey even went so far as to order prison officials to continue holding a woman after a judge had ordered her release. In the case of Marcellus Williams, Bailey is ignoring the wishes of the victim’s family, who supported an agreement where Marcellus would serve a life sentence.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson has refused to grant clemency after summarily disbanding the Board of Inquiry that his predecessor had ordered to investigate Marcellus Williams’s innocence claims. The Board was never able to finish its work.

And now Marcellus’s fate rests with the federal courts, where finality is often valued above accuracy, truth, and justice. Please join me tonight in praying for Marcellus and his legal team. They will need all the support they can get.

What does it say about our legal system when the U.S. Supreme Court refuses to stop an execution even when the county prosecuting agency that handled the original trial files a brief in support of a stay and supports vacating the entire conviction? #MarcellusWilliams

It’s hard to believe that Marcellus Williams is gone. I know many of you are grieving. Rose Vines’ post last week in the Graphic Dead Man Walking newsletter was titled “The Unimportance of Being Innocent.” It’s worth reading if you haven’t already done so. open.substack.com/pub/graphicdea…

We have until Oct. 17 to stop Texas from making the irreversible mistake of executing #RobertRoberson, an innocent person. Join me and Innocence Project in fighting for Robert by adding your name to his petition: shorturl.at/tFIJ9

No legislative body in America has issued a subpoena to a death row inmate hours before execution. This historic and unprecedented action was necessary to prevent a possible miscarriage of justice and to ensure our laws are followed. It was unanimous. #Txlege #RobertRoberson

A Travis County judge granted a temporary restraining order that has the effect of blocking Robert Roberson’s execution tonight. State legislators issued a subpoena for Robert to testify at a hearing next week, after his scheduled execution. The Texas AG’s office will appeal.

"We vote for the ones we're best suited to fight." We're not "co-signing a candidate" but rather "picking our opponent." A great/smart/thoughtful statement from leftist radical organizers on how to approach voting this Tuesday. Please watch/share:

My predictions: ^ Harris will win 5 of the 7 swing states. * Harris will outperform in Iowa and Kansas (I had those before Selzer poll) * it will not be "close" and pollsters with the exception of Selzer will find they undercounted women and overestimated defections of Black and
