River stepped back and disappointment lodged itself in Halle’s chest. This was what she wanted, right? If so, why did it feel so wrong? There wasn’t time to unpack that, so she swallowed those feelings and pasted on a smile. “So maybe we pretend this didn’t happen?” #FridayKiss
