A friends 6th grade son was tasked with writing a political ad for class. He gave my permission to share the script he wrote. He gets right to the heart of the matter and shows an insight that surpasses most of my former GOP colleagues.

I think it’s important to stress how much worse a second term is likely to be. Trump has been seriously, but mostly invisibly, constrained by a critical mass of civil servants who care about things like “truth” and “the law.”

We are still, almost daily, finding out about new & appalling things Trump wanted to do, which didn’t happen only because someone in the government quietly balked at carrying out an illegal or grossly immoral instruction.
