This week some of our cadets heard from USAFA Cadet Rodriguez. Cadet Rodriguez grew up in Petworth and graduated from School Without Walls.

This month our cadets attended the West Point Leadership & Ethics Conference at George Mason University. One of the speakers was former First Captain at West Point 1LT Simone Askew who is the 1st Black woman to be selected First Captain of U.S. Military Academy at West Point’s Corps of Cadets.

Today our cadets retired a U.S. flag that was in poor condition and raised a brand new flag. Moving forward our cadets will raise the U.S. and DC flags on Mondays and lower them on Fridays. @DeptofDefense #Harambee4Roosevelt
