We shouldn't take away the human in Human Resources, this thing of taking to robots & AI tools its just rubbish for me.

So my daughter is on school holiday n my wife is not around, so l’m looking after our daughter. l’m trying to finish a book l’m reading bt l’m struggling to complete 2 chapters a week. My wife finished her Masters degree taking care of our daughter, does she ve super powers?🤔

When l was working for Unilever, the CEO once said no accountant is more experienced than a Zimbabwean accountant. Imagine trying to calculate profit in a country where currency can be changed mid financial year on top of the high inflation. Same applies to sys devs.

Zimbabwe introduced a new gold backed currency. I feel for all developers that work in banks n other mobile money operators as they are trying to upgrade their systems.

So today for the first time, l was taking a look into Ipython and l ended up reading about the computer storage hardware architecture. Interesting how tech has evolved on the hardware side as well, what l learnt in college n what exists now are two totally different things.

I’m reading this well written book this week.

Looks like l will be going for PyCon US . I have got my ticket n my flights. I’m only left with accommodation. I’ve got friends n a community to thank. I will share more details later. If you are going to make it & we follow each other let’s plan for something.

I have just hosted a Django static website on CPanel. I only realised on deployment that cPanel had python3.8 n l had 3.10 locally. I had to deal with a number of dependency incompatibilities. Just wondered why they are still using python3.8. Coz it means l can’t use Django5.*

...so, l'm handing over projects that l did. I looked at some code l wrote a while back & i didn't realise my hand writing. Well written & well documented code. I didn't know that my code had matured back then. Yeay me.

First day using Streamlit, very small learning curve in my option. Hopefully l will be able to push my own component on pypi.

So l was busy updating my LinkedIn profile n l just realised that l completed 15 major projects in 5 years within the NTT group, by far the hardest was a Litigation management system because l knew nothing about law n gathering the requirements was very very difficult for me.
