A year ago today, the world wept for George Floyd. We took to the streets with passion and purpose. We gathered and marched through our sadness. Today we continue weeping: for George, for Breonna, for Ma’Khia, for Rekia, for Walter, for Michelle. For too many others. (1)

When I first heard about “End the Cage Age” initiative in Europe, I thought it was re: the numerous #Roma & #BAME who are subject to disproportionate policing and #confinement. It’s not. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE animals & don’t eat pork, beef, etc. But that hurts.

#2August will mark the commemoration of the Romani Genocide. The effects of this genocide linger still today. To honour the memory of the Roma and Sintis victims and survivors of the Holocaust, this year, we invite you to take three simple actions : remember, learn and act.

It's clear the Court's assault on fundamental rights will not stop with abortion. They are coming for contraception, LGBTQ rights, gay marriage next. Combined with the GOP dismantling of voting rights, we are on the brink of autocracy. Democrats must act.

Being Black and poor in America should not be crimes punishable by vigilante death. Jordan Neely did not just deserve to live. He deserved to live a better life than what our society decided to afford him. We are devastated by his loss. African American Policy Forum's full statement:

In this NJSBA CLE, I talked about efforts to ban antiracist teaching and literature, as well as the widespread assault on “critical race theory,” as bars to developing the cultural competency necessary to represent immigrant communities (including #Roma). #FREEDOMTOLEARN #CRT
