Exposed: Elon musk deliberately halted starlink coverage in Ukraine causing Ukrainian defenders to die or retreat, leaving civilians with russian occupants (that practiced mass killings and torture chambers). This thread made my blood boil but you should read it and spread it.

Wow this is outrageous! Swedish Migration service suggests union activism in #Belarus is apolitical and decided to deport the activist behind strikes in 2020. Free ticket to Russia (!) is a cherry on top. Disappointing.

Do you think it’s okay for Israel to collectively punish Gazans because they once elected Hamas? So then I take it you also think it’s okay for Hamas to collectively punish Israelis for voting in a government that enables settler pogroms in the West Bank? Didn’t think so.

Quite a few Western pundits seem relieved they can finally say all the racist, Islamophobic things they've always secretly felt, because now it can be refracted through a geopolitical, democracy v. autocracy prism, which makes it perfectly acceptable in boho polite society.

the moment decolonisation becomes trendy, it starts attracting glory hunters, just as any other trendy thing; important to keep it in mind

The evils of the world we live in today. Houses in Gaza by Israeli development company, and housing in Mariupol for Russians. Both describing flats with beatiful sea view.

As with any fashionable thing, the rhetoric of decolonisation and equality can be used by some more creative speakers to justify all sorts of bullshit. Like in this example, to justify violations of the fundamental academic ethics

To mark the two years since the outbreak of the Russian invasion, we sat down with the left-wing activists in the #UAF. Read their reflections on the role of imperialism and solidarity and what support do they expect from the Western left. commons.com.ua/en/solidarnist…

It is important to remember that there are two oppressors, who bring grief and suffering to the Palestinian people – both Israel and Hamas

No mention of Russia in this condemnation of 'global' far right. The most authoritarian and violent state in Europe is mentioned only as a victim of western aggression.
