The #FHEPS voucher increase is now law in New York state! This crucial bill will allow many more New York families to remain stably housed, while saving millions in our state budget. We applaud Governor Kathy Hochul NYS Senator Brian Kavanagh 卡范納 Linda B. Rosenthal “the #OriginalRosenthal” for their leadership.

Last chance! Nearly 15,000 kids will spend this holiday season homeless. But you can help spread some joy - and buy a toy! Our toy drive ends today and we still need toys - buy from our wish list here: amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls…

Quite scary for kids and teachers. Both my wife a Sp Ed Teacher and my daughter have tested positive while home and avoiding gatherings, my boys will be remote as well. Concerned for kids and teachers returning tomorrow. This could've been avoided and we had weeks to plan.

Marissa is right, we weren't wallowing here, we were surviving. This "swagger" talk won't move our city forward. It's day 3 on the job but don't come to our neighborhoods and insult us when you know well the inequities that exist in this community and Black & Brown communities.

I grew up in NYCHA in the South Bronx, and I remember being continuously harassed by the NYPD as teenager. I still live in the Bronx and I witness the same behavior from cops - it never goes well. In their 👀 we are perps. I agree something needs to be done, but this is NOT it.

Repeating the failed outreach-based policing strategies of the past will not end the suffering of homeless people bedding down on the subway. Our full statement in response to Mayor Eric Adams's announcement today: coalitionforthehomeless.org/press/sickenin…
