24th November, 2008 Southampton born, Marine Alexander Lucas, aged 24 from Peebles in the Borders, and of 45 Commando Royal Marines, was killed by an explosion, whilst clearing IEDs in the Kajaki area of Helmand Province, Afghanistan Lest we forget this brave young man 🇬🇧

Marine Tony Evans aged 20 from Sunderland, and Marine Georgie Sparks aged 19 from Epping, were killed on 27th November, 2008, in a rooftop gunfight with insurgents in Lashkar Gah, Afghanistan Lest we Forget these brave young men from J Company, 42 Commando Royal Marines 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

Winifred Soanes, 95, fell down & broke her hip in Christchurch High Street, Dorset, at 2.30pm. Out with her 92 year old husband she had to wait 5 hours for an ambulance, as she was "not a priority". She was helped by members of the public & recovering in hospital.
