By the time the wind snapped her out of reverie, darkness had fallen and rain was on her heels as she made her way up the plantation's pathway for the first time in a long time. It was like walking through a dream, only, in this dream, coming home could prove to be painful.

Mutters, “My wife is long gone, my daughter is hardly mine anymore, and the roof’s leaking. What else have I missed?” Sighs deeply while rolling up her sleeves in preparation to fix the area of the roof over the upstairs master bedroom.

A freshly shaped eyebrow raises. Was this a real question? On one hand, Sky was not at all happy with him... on the other, their underlying, unspoken attraction remains...

"Sky is not going to like it..." Toes at the ground, showing a bit of actual nerves, a move inherited from the Little Larka herself.
