The Queen is dead. I’ve had some days to reflect, and know that people wanted me to come out ranting and raving to confirm their views of me as a crazy Blak woman. In the days since, I've seen anger and disbelief from First Nations people at the glorification of our oppressor.

Yet another death in custody today - the second in Victoria this month. This is a national crisis. Our sympathies go out to Mr Austin's family, friends, and those who loved him. They deserve answers. This is something no community should ever have to experience.

Shout out to Daisy Pearce for Truth Telling and showing the Country what good allyship looks like. Telling the Truth is how we can begin to understand one another, Treaty is how we heal and mature as a nation.
