Hey #MedTwitter ! Academic nocturnist here. Several IM residents have asked for more practice with ekg interpretation. Does anyone have an app or website they like for honing up on ekg skillz?

1/ We often check SPEP and/or immunofixation in patients with neuropathy. Why bother, and what should I do with the results? Welcome to Paraproteinemic Neuropathy: A #tweetorial for neurologists who order tests they have no business interpreting.

Pro tip: Never order a foley for urine collection in a patient who: 1) does not have urinary tract obstruction and 2) can collect urine responsibly on their own. The practice of AKI= foley causes harm to patients.

Twice this week a resident asked an interesting question to which I quipped, “ Good question, Aguado!” and I learned that my night float residents have not seen Ace Ventura and now I feel old.
