After two weeks of planning and prepping for the new school year, my first as a VP, a couple of days at the Alders Beach Resort (just north of Comox) is a wonderful way to recharge.

Much learning today at my first #CPVPA conference. Reading this passage from a book I was gifted gives me hope for the work I am endeavouring to do with these wonderful colleagues. #SD43 ⁦School District 43⁩

Thankful for a dry lunch time on this Halloween. Helps with the palpable energy today.

Grateful today for people who take the time to connect. Especially for former students who have connected recently. It’s nice to know how your work has made a difference.

Very thankful today for staff and students who have provided me with extra nourishment. A fed VP is a happy VP.

Two years ago we moved. One of the things I appreciate about our new home is the peace and quiet. On mornings like this, the bird songs (and a fairly barely dog) dominate the airwaves. In the evening, the frog chorus sings us to sleep. We still hear civilization, but it’s faint.

Not sure why everyone has Sprong and Heinen supplanting Hoglander in the top six? He scored 24 goals last season largely playing 4th line minutes. Heinen scored 17 and Sprong scored 18. @canucks #Canucks
