Yr5 Haxby Road Primary singing our medley of Sailing + Wade in the Water at YorkSchoolsChoralFestival. #proudteacher We listened to some fantastic choirs, learnt about spirituals, wrote our own songs, and even got to play a grand piano. Big thanks to York Music Hub

Several classes have been working on singing bass lines, or 'root melodies', taking inspiration from John Feierabend and Missy Strong. Bass boomwhackers provide a great way to explore the sound of a bass part, in preparation for part singing.
