Thanks Rivers & Robots for spending 2,785 minutes with me in 2022. I couldn’t stop listening to Author / Perfector. #SpotifyWrapped open.spotify.com/artist/41yDmxe…

#dhsbookchat A1 we really need to rethink education and how we assess students if this were to really be true. It makes me rethink how I teach. It is too teacher centered.

#dhsbookchat A2 for my Macbeth unit I would love to be able to use the online version of no fear Shakespeare. If we had full access to the program, I believe I would be able to hit all three. Many of the programs that hit all three questions normally cost.

A3 I would use Writeabout (45) for students to get feedback on writing assessments. Classkick(59) to differentiate activities. Figment (74) for the same reason as Writeabout. #dhsbookchat

Very similar to April. And I feel I can accomplish much of what I need without tech. I would like to find more useful tech that doesn’t complicate grading. #dhsbookchat

A1 Truth is found not by splitting the world into either-ors but by embracing it as both-and. page 65 too often we see the world as black-and-white not taking the time to recognize the gray areas. Life goes beyond dichotomies. #dhsbookchat

Our book isn’t about technique but about identity. How do you imagine this book is helping you as an educator? #dhsbookchat

A3 I’m looking forward to understanding my identity as an educator more as I read. This book is unlike any pedagogical book I’ve ever read. #dhsbookchat

A1 “Perhaps the classroom should be neither teacher centered nor student centered, but subject centered.” i’m not sure that we’re used to hearing this. Everything seems to revolve around students as of late. #dhsbookchat
