Imposter syndrome is a sad reality for a lot of people. Recognising your ability to contribute can help to keep it bay. accelerationcoach.com/writing/impost…

A PM Leader asked what my exec coaching typically involves. Here's a non-exhaustive list of the kind of things I help people with... accelerationcoach.com/writing/recipe… #productmanagement

If all you've read or listened to this week came from business leaders, billionaires and others apt to view cage-fighting as a solution, you could do worse than spend fifteen minutes listening to Salman Rushdie being interviewed by Razia Iqbal. Inspiring. bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

Rate limits can be a good way to reduce the impact of bad actors. How they are best used depends on the specific nature of the bad behaviour. Those saying that Threads is using rate limits in the same way as Twitter likely don’t understand the respective problems being tackled.

Threads is like a new shop on the high street: I went to have a look on day it opened, and now I don't even notice it's there.

When CEOs redesign logos… #35 in an occasional series: theverge.com/2013/9/5/46962… “I’m not a pro, but I know enough to be dangerous”, said Marissa at the time. On reflection, “and” might be more helpful than “but” in that context.

As a coach one of my responsibilities is to 'tilt the mirror'. If all I do is reflect the client back perfectly, they can't grow because they're not getting new perspectives. If I tilt the mirror too far, it's hard for them to relate to our work. My job is to find the balance.

Wondering why when I add a link to a message in Gmail, it's created as http:// by default... surely we should be encouraging better habits in 2023?

youtube.com/watch?v=15nR7n… is a beautiful and sobering piece of art. As someone who helped to create many mobile products and services now used by billions of people, I feel I may be part of the problem :/

Well done to whomever at Amazon recognised that making the numbers on a credit card easy to read is not a bad idea and, perhaps more importantly, went on to make the numbers easy to read.

I firmly believe that software is a non-count noun and hence shall continue to wince when someone refers to "a software". Those confused by this, please consider when you last purchased or used "a furniture".

Yesterday I had a conversation with a software engineer about a potential collaboration on a product. It felt a little weird vs concentrating on my coaching practice but not in a bad way :)

TIL, via the Figma merger cancellation announcement, that Adobe's mission is "To change the world through digital experiences". The direction of this change is moot.

Today R4Extra, via BBC Radio 4, has been celebrating the wonderful life and amazing work of Nicholas Parsons. I'm sure the retrospection was enjoyed not only in this country, but around the world.

You can have a "pro" mic as part of your desktop setup and position it to work effectively without it being visible on your webcam. Or you can have a large piece of visible clutter during your calls and recordings.
