Top New Piece from Zeiss Hide Slimbridge Sightings this morning. 41 Lapwing, 2 each of Avocet, Ruff, Redshank and Blacktailed Godwit. Greylag and Canada Goose flocks and several Gadwall families. #GlosBirds

Through the matrix Slimbridge Sightings this morning lots of small bird activity, Chiffchaff, Sedge Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Long-tailed and Great Tits. Wren, Robin. #GlosBirds

South Lake Slimbridge Sightings heavy rain shower during the count hindered visibility but minimum of 112 Black-tailed Godwit, 7 Avocet with 4 visible juvs, 7 Ruff, 6 Redshank and 2 Green Sandpiper. 2 Drake Pochard and a juv Little Grebe on deep lake. Usual duck flicks. #GlosBirds

70-80 small waders on the river beyond the Dumbles Slimbridge Sightings, viewed from the Estuary Tower. Mainly Dunlin and Ringed Plover with a few Sanderling. Curlew scattered across the mud and a good mix of gulls on the outgoing tide. #GlosBirds
