2. Social Care is not just about older people, it's actually about Disabled people including children, so let's try to dispel that myth straight away.

3. I hate to break it to you, Jeremy but the Department of Health (and you) has always been responsible for social care. It's just you've chosen to ignore it, as it's easier to blame local government for all the problems with social care.

By the way, delayed transfers of care only account for about 10% of most social services' workload so if you force them to only focus on that, the other 90% requiring support will be at risk of ending up in hospital. Good luck anyway in your 'new' job!
