A Mojave/Catalina bug where Spotlight continually reindexes a Time Machine external disk seems to have been fixed by booting into safe mode, clearing the index inbetween disabling/reenabling (using mdutil), then rebooting and letting it reindex again.

Bought a 30,000mah power bank that arrived fully charged, presumably since the time of manufacture. Terrible way to age the cells within for a little extra convenience. Their actual capacity is variable enough as is.

Having installed a new battery into my late 2013 MacBook Pro I had a look into taking better care of it than the old one (no “Optimised Charging” support). Found this great little utility which switches to AC power at a specified charge level. github.com/godly-devotion…
