ROADMAP #AMU #AMR Mogens Krogh tells about different scenarios for reducing antibiotic use in calves from dairy herds: what will happen regarding AMU if antibiotics will be heavily taxed?

ROADMAP If the dairy farmer and the calf farmer should share risks, benefits and responsibility for AMU in calves, the dairy farmer has to take a share of the costs and responsibility to bring up healthy calves.

ROADMAP The consumers perceive antibiotics as something which potentially can be dangerous for their own health, and women are generally more willing to pay more for 'produced without antibiotics' meat, says Julie Emontspool, who researches consumers in sustainable markets
