This week marks 30 years since women were allowed to serve at sea. 17 years in Royal Navy and 2 in Royal Naval Reserve - I could not be prouder to serve with hopefully many more ‘sea days’ to come! #WomenAtSea #faa Women in Defence UK Naval Servicewomen's Network Fleet Air Arm Officers Association ⚓️🚁🇬🇧❤️
No.61 (apologies for taking so long!) the magnificent Sea King Mk7 helicopters on their last flight for @dinodavidson - I hope you like it. Next up is the India Gate in Delhi for Kriti Bami and then off to the Sherbourne Building for @tractorcop #isolationart #drawingoftheday
Honoured to represent the AnyFace Association at the opening of the The Poppy Factory Field of Remembrance Westminster Abbey. Lest we forget #remembranceday2022
The men & women of the Royal Navy routinely deploy all round the world for manymonths at a time. Little Red Ambulance has captured the moments when our Service people are reunited with loved ones. Every penny is going to support Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity and Culdrose Military Wives Choir. Well done legends!
Always watching... 👀 #RoyalNavy warships HMS St Albans and HMS MERSEY and tanker RFA Tidesurge have completed an operation shadowing three Russian ships in UK waters as part of #NATO efforts. ⬇️
Had a lovely lunch yesterday at the Royal Air Force Club with ex-Pathfinder and Mossie pilot Colin Bell (who helped me hugely with my last book), and my brilliant friend Serena Brotherton — also a former military aviator (on Sea Kings!). Hard to believe Colin is now 104. He was in cracking form.
For every retweet of this post, I will donate £1 to the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association up to £50,000. Time is running out following Imperial War Museums’s decision to close the Lord Ashcroft Gallery. Visit while you still can, to honour the bravery of those who risked so much to protect our great nation.
