My infection control nurse friend says we need to be using existing surgi-centers for taking covid patients since they are fully equipped with everything that is needed. We should not be sending covid patients to nursing homes.

We should ask the hotel workers unions to redeploy laid off workers to help staff the NHs. They could be paid and trained on the job if some federal or state money could be used to do that. Of course we need testing and PPE for them.
