Once again, with feeling: 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 Every intersection of every description in #Halifax has legal crosswalks on all sides, whether marked with paint, marked with overhead lights, OR NOT MARKED AT ALL. Drivers must yield to pedestrians IN ALL CASES. Halifax Traffic

A reminder that no plan has been approved to remove trees on Morris Street, and that trees and bike lanes are not mutually exclusive. You can read more here 👇 cyclehalifax.ca/2021/10/morris…

Feeling very privileged to be an able-bodied person with good winter boots on my pedestrian commute today and thinking of those not so lucky.

London installed over 62-miles of cycles lanes since 2019 in an effort to encourage more people to safely chose to bike. In that time, bike mode share has doubled from 2.7% of all trips in the city to 5.3%. TfL 🚲 🎥 London Cycles

what we can do a better job at is delineating to the public the difference between individual risk and population health risk. omicron may be less severe at an individual level, but it can wreak havoc at the population level when there’s severe staff shortages at the hospital.

I can’t emphasize enough how badly Elizabeth Fry needs core, stable funding and the immense impact we could make in our community if we had it. Community-based services are better for EVERYONE, taxpayers included. We are so much better at this work than the jails.

I am not an Ontarian, or a teacher, or an education assistant, but I have a perspective on the Ford government’s “Keeping Students in Schools Act”. I was Minister of Education in Alberta for 7 years, including the time the Charter was developed and enacted. #onted #onpoli
